Arawa District Hospital

Planpac were engaged by HEPF to manage the design development and completion of the documentation packages, along with provision of tender assistance, site supervision & management services with permanent on-site staff for three projects on two separate sites in ARoB.

Provision of upgraded water collection, storage and delivery for the Buka General Hospital.  Providing the hospital with an additional supply of cleaner water, including management of maintenance upgrades and scoping of existing water capacity and qualities. 

Develop a client provided concept design for an addition and renovation of the Buka Hospital Transit Store facility. This upgrade consolidates the storage components for the hospital and delivery to outlying clinics in a central location minimising the need for marine based delivery to the existing storage facility on Sohano Island.

Develop a client provided concept design for a major addition & renovation of Arawa Health Centre.  Works included upgrade of the TB Clinic, adult & children Outpatient departments, Accident & Emergency, High Dependency Ward, Pathology, X-Ray, and Surgical Wards along with the additional construction of a new 4 bed Labour Ward & Family Support Centre.
