V8 Supercars Precinct

The V8 Supercar Multi-Event Precinct is a pinnacle Townsville event that attracts large crowds who contribute an economic boost to the region.

Planpac Group was an integral part of the team responsible for the successful delivery of the Townsville V8 Supercar Multi-Event Precinct. Planpac applied skills and expertise in relation to Master Planning, Design Concepts, Approval Documentation, Construction Detailing and Quality Monitoring. Planpac utilised 'Innovative Design Solutions’ in conjunction with ‘Value Engineering’ techniques during the design proves to provide the client with a cost effective creative solution that met the ‘Project Brief’. It was this approach and Planpac’s commitment to providing Townsville with a functional Multi-Event Precinct that awarded them the design and documentation of the ‘Pit Building’.

The Pit Building held key focus in the overall Masterplan of the Race Precinct and required careful design consideration. With the Gross Floor Area of 4,500m2 it accommodates 30 vehicle garages, 13 Corporate Suites, Amenities, Offices, Race Control and a Commercial Kitchen. Planpac assisted the Managing Contractor to ensure the project was delivered on time and within budget under a very tight construction programme.
